Thomas Paine Day was not approved by State Legislature…this time around…but serious advocates forge on.

Next number of the Bulletin will feature the work of TPF members and Arkansas legislators to make

Thomas Paine Day, every January 29th, a memorial to the eminent patriot-author-political philosopher.

The experience of Arkansas legislator, Representative Lindsley Smith, and of TPF member, Jack Makens,

and their determination, are models of what we can do to make Paine known in every state.

The Thomas Paine Day Resolution for Arkansas awaits the next Legislative session.

Both Rep. Smith and our members in Arkansas, such as Jack Makens, will follow through.
